Your Vote Is Not Wasted

From Mshiltonj wiki

Avoid the "Wasted Vote Syndrome."

You don't have to vote for "the lesser of two evils."

If you keep voting the same way you always have, you will keep getting the same results you have always gotten.

For decades, the only things we have gotten from Democrats and Republicans are more of the same: More taxes, bigger government, more bureaucracy, less freedom, more control, more laws and more regulations.

Is this what you have been asking for? If not, then we all need to stop voting for it. If not, then your vote is wasted right now.

The links in the "More Information" sidebar take you to a few well-written articles on this issue.

Your vote is never wasted when you vote for who you want to win, or when you vote for who you think should win.

It's difficult to do this sometimes because candidates of other parties always warn against "spoiling the election" and letting the "other" candidate win by not voting for "this" candidate. This tired argument is what has led us down the road to where we are now. Not because we wanted it, but because we decided to vote for "the lessser of two evils".

Well, the lesser of two evils is still evil. So, as a nation, we still end up going in the wrong direction (more laws, more taxes, less freedom) but it just takes a little longer to get there.

It's a trap many people fall into time and time again -- especially during close elections. But no one has to fall for it. All you have to do is vote your conscience. Vote for what you do want, not against what you don't want.
